RX and LX
Monitoring switches
Overview
The RX and LX features are used to signal the use of an opening. The exit devices are equipped with one internal SPDT switch that monitors the pushpad (RX) and one internal SPDT switch that monitors the latch bolt (LX.) The device can be connected to a security console, or may be used as a single door alarm when used with a horn and power supply. A continuous current electric transfer must be used for transferring power from the frame to the door. The RX and LX switches should not be used to control a load, but as a signaling switches. The RX and LX switches are available in a low current (LC) switches which are most commonly used in a computer operated monitoring system.
