As of 31 Jan 2018, dormakaba will discontinue the sale of LA GARD solenoid-blocking swing bolt and dead bolt locks model families 3740, 4200, 4300, and 6040. Alternate part numbers for the functionally equivalent motor-blocking locks are attached. The new orderable part number is typically designated with an "M" following the model number – 3740M, 4200M, 4300M, 6040M. If your custom part number is not seen, simply contact your dormakaba representative.
Commencing in November 2017 customers who regularly purchase the 3740, 4200, 4300, or 6040 models will be offered the alternate part. This transition is intended to be complete by January 2018, with ample consideration given to those customers who need to conduct testing and qualification of the motor-blocking replacement lock. The replacement products will come with no price increase.
At this time, the 6441 Redundant lock, 6034 Spring Bolt lock, and Smart Series locks do not have a motor-blocking equivalent design, therefore these locks will continue to be offered as is.
