Kaba Mas is pleased to announce a signifi cant enhancement to the Style 1, X-10 lock.

Locks installed in poorly lit areas make it diffi cult to see the visual controls. Flashlights or other external means to light the dial are a security concern.

The Kaba Mas X-10 lock now has the solution! As of March 25, 2014, and starting with serial number X10X001003252014ARM, all X-10 series locks are manufactured with a backlit LCD display as a standard feature. Simply turn the dial to power the lock and the backlit display will illuminate. The X-10 lock generates enough light for you to easily see the visual controls. However, the amount of light does not create a security concern, and the backlit display still retains the same restricted viewing angle.

The X-10 electronics were originally designed with the backlit display in mind. The feature has been tested and approved by the GSA.

Nothing else changes; the X-10 lock with the backlit display feature operates and installs the same as a non-backlit X-10 lock. The price and part numbers also remain the same for ease of ordering. The backlit display is not available for retro fi t applications.

Warranty

All X-10 and CDX-10 locks manufactured as of March 25, 2014, with the backlit display will have an extended two year warranty.
