Summary:

Kaba Mas is pleased to release CenTran Software Version 4.1.5.3097. This software update has been long awaited and corrects performance issues encountered in the previous release of 4.1.3.2789. There is also a new user interface for CenTran and it now operates as a Windows Service.

Significant New Features

• Now operates as an operating system service! This provides improved server stability and resistance to server resets.
• Web Service Support! You now have a way to do the majority of your commonly used Cencon operations through a web service with much better support for working across a wide area network.
• Improved open source CenTran API! The CenTran API now has support for accessing the CenTran 4.1.5 Service through either XML transaction files or through the new web service support.
• Improved parallel XML transaction file processing and responsiveness! You can now greatly reduce the delay times before reading transaction files being sent to CenTran without worry of a bad file read. You can also process many more transactions in parallel than before, without worry of database issues.
  • Greatly improved, faster WAN compatibility.
  • Now supports managing bank branches and regions in the Cencon database.
  • Updated Oracle 10g, 11g Database Support.
  • Added support for compatibility with Windows 8.

Significant Resolved Issues:

• Corrected possible database deadlocks occurring with Microsoft SQL with simultaneous operations.
• Corrected issues with incorrect user combination dispatch count.

Significant Feature Changes:

• Removed support for lock groups.
• Database support for Microsoft SQL Server is now limited to 2008 R2 and higher.
