Reuseable Serial Number Sticker Improves X-09 Deployment Process

Kaba Mas introduces an easier solution for properly documenting the 6-digit lock serial number on the SF700, the form used by the U.S. Government to record security information about the container. The manager in the field is no longer required to remove the back cover of the lock, read the label, and write the number on the form. Instead, the user simply peels the new sticker with the lock serial number from the back of the lock and adheres it to the form. The permanent serial number label on the electronics card has been moved from the super-capacitor to an adjacent empty space and has a barcode added. This change was implemented on September 29, 2008, with Serial Number 733081. The X-09 manuals now reflect this change.
