Battery Assist & Holiday Support

Effective 10/25/06, the Auditcon 2 Model 552S lock will no longer be available to order. The Battery Assist feature will now be included in all Auditcon 2 Model 552 locks. Therefore, all Model 552 locks should now be ordered as a Model 552A lock (A for Battery Assist). There is not a price increase for this feature.

To use the Battery Assist option, simply install a 9 Volt Alkaline battery and the battery clip. With Battery Assist, the lock LEDs will continually flash throughout the duration of a Time Delay or Open Window period. The Battery Assist feature also provides additional power for lengthy lock operations.

If you do not wish to use the Battery Assist function, wrap and tie the battery assist cable, or cut the cable next to the lock case to remove it. Refer to the lock installation instructions for more detail.

Holiday support has also been added to the operational features of the Model 552 lock. The new "Set Holidays" feature enables the Master User to define up to 20 annual holidays in the lock. The "Set Holidays" operation requires Battery Assist. This operation is one that can only be performed at the lock; it is not currently available through the software.
