X-09™ Cam Pawl Removal

The cam pawl has been removed from the X-09/CDX-09 locks. This change was implemented on 02/12/03 starting with S/N 00X0900102122003ARM.

If it becomes necessary to remove and reinstall the spindle nut during lock installation or maintenance, the drive cam can be secured by carefully placing a #1 Phillips screwdriver between the cam and the lock case as shown in the picture below. This procedure replaces the Service Tip found on page 11 of the X-09 Installation Instructions.
