BASIC USE

Hager's product line includes surface-mounted light and heavy duty commercial door closers.

COMPOSITION & MATERIALS

A choice of 4 product designs is available. The 5100 Series features a cast iron body, while the 5200, 5300 and 5400 Series are constructed of aluminum bodies. Full plastic covers are available on all models except on the 5400 Series. Spring components include the following:

• • 1-piece seamless steel spring tube seals in hydraulic fluid
• • Double heat-treated steel, tempered springs
• • Precision machined, heat treated steel piston
• • Triple heat-treated steel spindle

OPERATION

Closers are non-handed and feature an adjustable latching and sweep speed valve and a standard or optional adjustable back check valve. A delayed action valve is optional on 3 designs. Tri-Pack regular, top jamb and parallel arms are standard for Hager closers.

• • The 5100 Series has optional Cush-N-Stop, extra heavy duty, hold-open, extra heavy duty hold-open, as well as parallel arm mount
• • The 5300 Series has a slide adjustable arm with a hold-open arm as an option
• • The 5400 Series is a size-specific door closer
