The cylindrical lock with BHSS trim fits a standard 2-1/8" through bolted bore with 3 additional through bolt holes.
> Is the cylindrical BHSS listed in the NYS-OMH PSS?

> Is the cylindrical lock with BHSS trim suited for low, medium or high-risk areas?
With its integrated design, the cylindrical lock with BHSS trim can be used in low, medium or high-risk areas.
> Is the cylindrical lock with BHSS trim based on an existing lock platform?
The cylindrical lock with BHSS trim uses the CLX3300 Series as the base lock. The latchbolts, lockbodies, spring cartridges and cylinders are the same as the standard CLX3300 Series.
> What cylinder formats are available?
The cylindrical lock with BHSS trim is available with fixed core cylinders. Corbin Russwin large format interchangeable core and small format interchangeable core preps are anticipated to be available in the 1st quarter of 2023.
> What competitor cylinder formats are available?
The cylindrical lock with BHSS trim can accommodate Schlage® fixed core cylinders. Schlage LFIC prep is not available.
> What applications can the lock be used on?
The cylindrical lock with BHSS trim is ideal for healthcare behavioral health applications including patient room doors, de-escalation rooms and psychiatric facilities.
> Is the cylindrical lock with BHSS trim available in electrified functions?
Electrified functions of the cylindrical lock with BHSS trim are anticipated to be available in the 1st quarter of 2023.
> Can the lock be used in other than healthcare applications?
Yes, other applications include assisted living facilities, general hospitals and even in schools for areas where trim may be subject to extreme abuse.
> What material is the escutcheon and lever? What finishes are available? Is MicroShield® antimicrobial coating available?
The lever and escutcheon are stainless steel. Locks are available in 630 finish with optional antimicrobial coating available (630C).
> Does the cylindrical lock with BHSS trim have freewheeling or rigid outside levers when locked? BHSS trim is provided with freewheeling outside locked levers. Freewheeling levers are recommended in behavioral health applications. Rigid levers are available as an option (M200).
> Are units handed?
Yes, units are handed. Proper door handing must be specified when ordering. Units are not field reversible.
- > Are security pin Torx® fasteners available? Security pin Torx® fasteners are standard for all exposed screws. This includes latch and strike screws.
- > Can the cylindrical lock with BHSS trim accommodate Yale® or Medeco cylinders?
Yes. Options are available for locksets to accommodate Yale 1803 fixed core cylinders (tailpieces provided).
Yale LFIC prep is not available.
Yale and Medeco offer cylinders with tailpieces to operate with CLX3300 Series cylindrical locks.
