1. What is BHSS Trim?

The Corbin Russwin BHSS Trim is an integrated lever and escutcheon assembly, specifically designed for behavioral healthcare settings. Used on the ML2000 mortise lock, the BHSS trim meets ANSI/ BHMA Grade 1 requirements to provide maximum durability in healthcare applications.

2. Does the ML2000 meet testing standards?

The Corbin Russwin ML2000 is certified for the ANSI/ BHMA Series 1000 Operational Grade 1 and Security Grade 1.

3. Is the ML2000 with BHSS trim appropriate for patient rooms?

Yes, the BHSS trim is available in 36 functions including Passage, Privacy, Institutional/Utility, and Institutional Privacy.

4. What features are available?

• Aesthetic, sloped surfaces with integrated lever and escutcheon
• 36 functions available, including 4 electrified options
• Matching behavioral health thumbturn
• Stainless Steel finishes (629 and 630)
• Available with Microshield®, an antimicrobial coating

5. Are electrified options available for the ML2000 with BHSS trim?

Yes, the BHSS trim is available with Fail Safe or Fail Secure functions.

6. Does the ML2000 mortise lock with BHSS trim retrofit an existing mortise lock prep?

Yes, the ML2000 mortise lock with BHSS trim retrofits on any door that has been prepared with ANSI A156.115 standard mortise door prep, with only 2 additional holes.

7. Do you have to order the BHW Trim with a specific handing orientation?

Yes, the BHW Trim is handed and must be included in the order string.

8. Are there matching thumbturns?

Yes, to round out the aesthetic look and feel, a matching thumbturn is available.

9. Is this lock ADA compliant?

The BHSS trim meets A117.1 Accessibility Code, BOMA International 4.13.8, and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

10. What is the warranty?

The BHSS trim with the ML2000 mortise lock is covered by a 10 year limited warranty.
