When Trying to Discover Over 50 Locks

There is a limit to the number of locks that Gateways and Expanders can discover at any one time.

With Gateways, the limit is 62; with Expanders, the limit is 50.

If the number of locks waiting to be discovered exceeds these limits, the result may be:

• not all locks will be discovered, regardless of their signal strength or distance;
• often the specific lock you wish to be discovered will not be;
• with Expanders, the 50 locks that ARE discovered will not be placed into the Expander Routing Table in the most efficient manner

Note: This issue DOES NOT apply to locks ALREADY discovered and assigned.

We recommend simply powering down all locks that you do NOT wish to be discovered by the selected Gateway or Expander. For example, simply power down the most distant locks.
