The versatility of the Alarm Lock Networx system allows the Gateways and wireless locks to communicate over many different types of networks. For this reason, it is always a good idea to "bench test" the equipment in a controlled environment prior to final installation.

The main advantage of bench testing is that if a communication issue occurs during the installation and configuration of the system, you will already know the issue is not the fault of the Alarm Lock hardware; you can then concentrate on troubleshooting the network itself.
