Subject: NEW GASKET FOR SURFACE MOUNT TOUCHCARD® READERS

We are changing the weather gasket provided with the Surface Mount Housings used on the 26SA, 28SA-Plus and the SK028-040 series Touchcard® readers. An external gasket ® will be provided in place of the embedded gaskets we have previously used.

The new external gasket will be similar to the high density foam rubber gasket that we have always used with our more expensive surface metal housings. The new gasket will provide superior protection, especially on irregular mounting surfaces.

The new gasket should be placed between the reader mounting plate and the mounting surface. If you are replacing an older reader with a new one, you will need to remove the mounting plate and install the new gasket before attaching the new reader.
