Push Button Locks Electronic & Mechanical

Push Button Locks are operated with codes instead of keys. These locks are a basic component in any large access control system or a complete stand alone system for smaller premises.

Types of Push Button Locks:

Electronic:

dormakaba's electronic push button locks provide additional functionality beyond mechanical access control. These products range from simple programming to more advanced applications requiring software which allows management, multiple users, doors, time zones and audit trails.

Mechanical:

Mechanical Push Button Locks offer a convenient way to control access between public and private areas. There are no cards or keys to manage, no computers to program, no batteries to replace and combinations can be changed within seconds without removing the lock from the door.

Door Handing Specifications

Many of the Simplex range are handed and cannot be changed in the field. The handing of the door must be determined and specified on ordering.

Determining the handing of your door for Push Button Locks:

Stand in front of the door in its closed position from the exterior push button side. Right or left door handing is determined from the position of the hinge side of the door, hinges to the right then a right hand opening door, hinges to the left a left hand opening door.

Intumescent Door Kits

As a market leader of mechanical and electronic push button locks, dormakaba continually review certifications and testing data. In line with new UK fire testing requirements and guidelines, we are in the process of re-testing the core mechanical push button locks.

As a result, our current UK fire assessment (402559 REV iss 2) expired on the 1st October 2019. Due to testing house lead times, there will be a slight gap before any new assessment reports are available. Currently we are expecting the new testing to be available in the first quarter of 2020. All existing UL/ULC fire testing data will still apply.

The fitting of the intumescent material must be carried out in accordance with the supplied fitting instructions.

The specifier and the installer are responsible for ensuring this product is specified and installed in the correct application and within all relevant regulations.
