Seal Out Sound

Pemko Acoustic Gasketing products effectively seal the gaps between the door and frame, eliminating or drastically reducing sound transmission allowing an opening to achieve its best possible operable STC rating. Through rigorous acoustical lab testing, optimal combinations of gasketing have been identified — including automatic door bottoms, surface-applied perimeter gaskets, and adhesive backed gasket styles — for the best performance.

These products meet the requirements of ASTM E90 for Airborne Sound Transmission Loss and help classrooms meet ANSI Standard S12.60-2010, Acoustical Performance Criteria, Design Requirements and Guidelines for Schools. Acoustical control products can help earn Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) credits for LEED v4.

Technical Specifications:

Material:

S773, S44 and S442 are extruded from high temperature silicone.

303_S and 312_R are extruded aluminum with a silicone or sponge EPDM insert. PDB411™ is made largely from aluminum extrusions and a PemkoPrene™ insert.

Sound Rated:

Tested to meet ASTM E 90-2009 Standard. Tested to meet ANSI Standard S12.60-2010, Acoustical Performance Criteria.

Fire Rated:

Meets UL10C Standard.

Smoke Tested:

Meets requirements of UBC 7-2 and UL 1784 Standards and is tested in accordance with NFPA 105 test method.

Air Tested:

Air infiltration tested in accordance with ASTM E283-04.

ANSI/BHMA:

Meets the requirements of ANSI/BHMA A156.22-2012 Door Gasketing Systems.

GREENGUARD Gold Certification:

Meets the product certification requirements for low chemical emissions of UL 2818 to Gold status.
