RB175 Padlock Keying Instructions

Step 1: Unlock padlock and move shackle to the open position.

Step 2: Remove retaining screw and close shackle. The shackle should remain closed during rekeying. (Important: lock cylinder should not be removed until shackle is closed!)

Step 3: After closing the lock shackle, remove lock cylinder from padlock body. The closed shackle will keep the locking mechanism properly aligned.

Step 4: Rekey the cylinder through the access holes in the bottom of the cylinder. If necessary, remove the black retaining clip on the back of the cylinder to remove the plug and rekey. CAUTION: The pins may fall out of the cylinder if the plug is rotated while the cylinder is removed from the lock body.

Step 6: Unlock padlock while holding cylinder in lock body (do not let cylinder fall out).

Step 7: Secure cylinder in lock body with retaining screw.
