INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1. Select and determine degree of opening, hold open or dead stop from chart on back side of page.
  • 2. Locate "A" and "B" dimensions on door and frame.
  • 3. Install jamb bracket on stop strip.

4. Position door bracket on door with shock spring located towards pivot. Drill 3/8" diameter hole for first sex bolt as shown for dimension "A".

5. Be sure that door bracket is horizontal and holes are located on door 1-3/8" down from stop strip as shown. Drill 3/8" diameter hole for second sex bolt and install door bracket.

NOTES:

  • All hollow metal doors and frames should be properly reinforced with 3/16" min. thickness x 12" min. length reinforcement plates.
  • All drilling and tapping to be done by field men.
  • Sex bolts furnished will be 3/8" diameter and will extend into door bracket.
  • Suggest mounting door stop or holder first and then other hardware to clear. Contact factory if interference results with other hardware.
  • Left hand shown right hand opposite. (Note hole pattern in jamb bracket.)
  • All dimensions are given in inches.
  • Non-handed, reversible.

DOOR BRACKET COVER: If cover is provided, snap on to door bracket after screws have been tightened into sex bolts.

CONTROL KNOB: Turn control knob one half turn for hold open or stop only operation.
