INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE WITH HIT-40SL3 INSTALLATION TOOL FOR SCHLAGE KC9000 SERIES KING COBRA

• 1. Remove the outside cylinder and install the supplied HIT-22 guide.
• 2. Place the drill rod in center hole of guide.
• 3. Place the HIT-40SL3 drill guide over the drill rod. There should be one drill bushing above the rod and two below.
• 4. Square the guide to door and drill the top hole with a 5/32" drill bit.
• 5. Insert a second 5/32" bit into the top bushing and into the hole drilled in the door, this will keep the drill guide aligned.
• 6. Drill the two bottom holes.
• 7. Remove the HIT-40SL3 from the door and the HIT-22 from the lock.
• 8. Tap all three holes 10-32 and install the Schlage Cobra lock per factory instructions.
