INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE WITH HIT-132 INSTALLATION TOOL FOR YALE Eboss
Remove allen bolt and back plate. Place HIT-132 drill guide on door with aligning washers in the 2-1/8" crossbore. HIT-132 should be placed on door so the writing on the front plate is in the up right position. Replace back plate and tighten allen bolt until snug. Do not over tighten. HIT-132 is now ready to retrofit Yale Eboss E5400LN series locks . All through bolt holes may be drilled in one operation through the door, or half way from both sides. This unit was designed to retrofit locks with 2-3/4" backsets.
DRILLING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1. Drill one 3/8" hole through door using the bushing located at the top of the drill guide.. These holes can be drilled through from one side of the door or half way from both sides of the door.
- 2. Drill one 1/4" hole through door using the bushing located in the middle of the drill guide.This hole can be drilled through from one side of the door or half way from both sides of the door. After all holes are drilled and HIT-132 has been removed from door, re-drill this hole to 1" with the use of a hole saw.
- 3. Drill two 5/16" holes through door using the bushing located at the top of the drill guide. These holes can be drilled through from one side of the door or half way from both sides of the door.
- 4 If the lock is supplied with anchor plate lugs, use a 5/32" bit and drill a hole to a depth of 3/16" using the drill bushings located at 3 and 9 o'clock on both sides of the door.
- 5 Install lock per manufacturers directions and check for proper operation.
Drill 3/8" hole through door
Drill 1/4" hole through door. Enlarge to 1" with the use of a hole saw.
Drill two 5/16" holes through door, one above and one below the 2-1/8" cross bore.
Drill two 5/32" holes to a depth of 3/16" on both sides of door for anchor plate lugs.
