INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE WITH HIT-131 INSTALLATION TOOL FOR KABA/ILCO 660 & 760 LOCK SERIES

Remove allen bolt and back plate. Place HIT-131 drill guide on door with aligning washers in the 2-1/8" crossbore. HIT-131 should be placed on door so the writing on the front plate is in the up right position. Replace back plate and tighten allen bolt until snug. Do not over tighten. HIT-131 is now ready to retrofit Kaba/Ilco 660/760 series locks . All through bolt holes may be drilled in one operation through the door, or half way from both sides. This unit was designed to retrofit locks with 2-3/4" backsets. For 2-3/8" backset locks move cap screws to inside of plate.

DRILLING INSTRUCTIONS

• 1. Drill the two top holes through door using a 7/16" bit These holes can be drilled through from one side of the door or half way from both sides of the door.
• 2. Drill the center hole with the same 7/16" bit only if the lock you are installing has a t-turn inside. This hole can be drilled through from one side of the door or half way from both sides of the door.
• 3.Drill the bottom hole to 7/16" . This hole can be drilled through from one side of the door or half way from both sides of the door.

The door prep is now ready to install lock per manufacturers directions. NOTE: THE KABA PAPER TEMPLATE CALLS FOR 1/2" DIAMETER HOLES, 7/16" WILL WORK AND BE A BETTER FIT.
