INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE WITH HIT-130 INSTALLATION TOOL FOR KABA 900 SERIES

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

This drill guide mounts to the door with the use of two dry wall screws. Guide should be screwed to the inside of door. One screw hole will be drilled out after the guide is removed from door and the second small hole will be covered up by the inside plate. The window on the inside plate used to position the guide at a measured height from the floor. IMPORTANT: THERE IS A 1/8" SHIM PLATE MOUNTED ON THE INSIDE OF THE DRILL GUIDE. IT IS HELD IN PLASE BY TWO PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS. LEAVE THIS SHIM IN PLACE FOR INSWING DOORS WITHOUT A RISER PLATE. FOR OUTSWING DOORS OR INSWING DOORS WITH A RISER PLATE, MOVE SHIM TO FRONT OF DRILL GUIDE.

DRILLING INSTRUCTIONS

• 1. These two bushings are for dry wall screws and will mount the unit to the door.
• 2. Three 1/8" drill bushings used to locate the lock mounting screws.Drill approximately 1/2" deep.
• 3. Drill a 1/4" hole half way from both sides of the door. This is a pilot hole for the push button chamber. Enlarge with a 1-5/8" hole saw after drill guide has been removed from the door.
• 4. Drill a 1/4" hole half way from both sides of the door. This is a pilot hole for the
• 5. outside turn lever. Enlarge with a 3/4" hole saw after drill guide has been removed from the door.
• 6. Drill a 1/4" hole half way from both sides of the door ONLY IF THE LOCK YOU ARE IN-STALLING HAS A KEY OVERRIDE FUNCTION . Enlarge with a 7/8" hole saw after drill guide has been removed from the door.
