8400/8600 Series

Adams Rite Exit Device modified by Command Access Technologies

• STEP 1 : Once the device is mounted per the manufacturer's instructions, the door must be prepped for a Energy Transfer Hinge (ETH), Concealed Door Loop (CDL) or Surface Mount Door Loop (SMDL).
• STEP 2 : Make sure that all power is off. The exit device comes with 48" leads. If you are using a door loop, you may want to run the 48" leads through the loop and make your terminations on the frame side. Otherwise, run your power source wires from the frame side through the ETH, CDL or SMDL and into the exit device through the prepared holes and make your terminations at the device.
• STEP 3 : Connect the wires at the power supply and test the operation.

LEGEND OF TERMS

EU : (Fail Secure) When power is applied, the outside trim will unlock. When power is removed, the exit device locks.

REX : (Request to Exit Switch) Monitors the inside handle.
