The TB-LINX Kit is intended to adapt your TB200/400/600 or TB250+/450+/650+ Hydraulic Gate Closer to fence posts 3 inches or smaller. The TB-LINX kit comes with a 3 ½ inch U-Bolt.
If the post is larger than 3 inches, a larger U-Bolt must be used to match the post size.
IMPORTANT :
TB200/400/600 and TB250+/450+/650+ Gate Closers will not work with Bulldog Style hinges. You MUST use a center pin/pivot type hinges or Male/Female style with center pivot pin.
TO INSTALL:
- 1. Mount the Triangular Mounting Bracket to the flatside of the Post-Mount Collar using the two (2) 5/16" x 1/2" bolts and securing with two (2) 5/16" Lock Nuts.
- 2. Place collar to the OPEN side of POST and attach with 3/8" x 3 ½" U-BOLT and secure with two 3/8" Lock Nuts. The gate must swing towards the Triangular Bracket and the Triangular Bracket should be on a 90 degree angle from gate.
- 3. You are now ready to mount the Gate Closer. Use the 2 self-tapping screws to fit Gate Bracket to gate. (REFER TO GATE CLOSER INSTRUCTIONS)
IMPORTANT: BEFORE INSTALLATION OF THE CLOSER IT IS IMPORTANT TO MEASURE THE DISTANCE FROM THE TRIANGULAR BRACKET TO GATE BRACKET IN THE 90-DEGREE OPEN POSITION. THE DISTANCE MUST NOT BE LESS THAN 22". IF LESS THAN 22", THE GATE CLOSER MAY HYPER-COMPRESS AND VOID THE WARRANTY.
IN MOST CASES, HOLES 3 & 4 ON THE TRIANGULAR BRACKET (HOLES FURTHEST FROM THE POST), WILL NOT CREATE SUFFICIENT DISTANCE (22") BETWEEN THE TRIANGULAR BRACKET AND GATE BRACKET.
