Inside Face of the Door
INSTRUCTIONS:
- 1. Prepare the door for the exit device.
- 2. Using template A7616 prepare the door for the auxiliary control. Be sure to countersink screwheads for chassis clearance.
- 3. Install auxiliary control.
- 4. Install exit device.
OPERATION:
- The 306 auxiliary control is operative only when the key is in the cylinder and turned
- The 313 auxiliary control can be made operative or inoperative by turning the key
METHOD FOR REMOVING AND REPLACING THE CYLINDER
- A) Unscrew the retainer screw. Remove the retainer and locking lever.
- B) Unscrew the cylinder nut. Remove the blocking ring and cylinder.
- C) Replace the cylinder by reversing procedures above. Make sure that the locking lever spring engages the locking lever Point "X".
ATTENTION THIS IS FIELD REVERSIBLE!
Handing (from view shown)
- 1. LHRB Handing screw on the left side.
- 2. RHRB Handing screw on the right side (shown).
METHOD FOR REVERSING THE HANDING IN THE FIELD
- A) Be sure device is in the unlocked position.
- B) Locate the handing screw through the relief in blocking plate.
- C) Remove the handing screw then rotate the blocking plate to expose the opposite tapped hole.
- D) Install the handing screw. Be sure the thumb is in the upright position.
