Subject: How to Reverse the Hand of the Latch on Alarm Lock Mortise Locks
Models: DL2700CR/L, P/DL3500CR/L, P/DL6500CR/L
These instructions apply to current mortise lock bodies, including models with a deadbolt.
- Remove the front faceplate.
- Depress the latch,
- Unscrew and remove the first latch screw.
Flip the lock body over and remove the second latch screw.

Tilt the latch cam and pull the latch straight out from the lock case.
- Reinsert the latch to the desired hand.
- Replace the latch screws and adjust the bevel of the edge plate.
- Replace the faceplate.
Note: The instruction label affixed to the lock body also includes steps to "Rehand the Hubs". These steps do not apply to Alarm Lock models because the outside lock housing controls access electronically; not the internal hubs.
