IMPORTANT: Additional Initial Setup Steps Required for this Reader

The following additional steps are required before the Initial Setup - Functional Selections stage detailed in Section 2 of the iCLASS SE Biometric Reader User Guide (PLT-02550).

• 1. Disconnect power to the reader and then re-power.
• 2. Within 30 seconds of re-powering the reader, present configuration card SEC9X-CRD-E-P002 DOWNGRADE TO STANDARD READER ADMIN KEY before the Initial Setup stage detailed in Section 2 of the iCLASS SE Biometric Reader User Guide (PLT-02550). Hold the card to the reader until the reader stops beeping and the LED is solid red.
• 3. Complete the steps in Section 2 of the iCLASS SE Biometric Reader User Guide (PLT-02550).
• 4. Disconnect power to reader and then re-power.
• 5. Within 30 seconds of re-powering reader, present configuration card SEC9X-CRD-E-P000 UPGRADE TO ELITE READER ADMIN KEY (included in reader box). Hold the card to the reader until the reader stops beeping and the LED is solid red. The reader is now ready for Normal use.

Note: If the Initial Setup Reset is required to modify the reader configuration in the future, complete the following in place of the steps detailed in Section 2 of the iCLASS SE Biometric Reader User Guide (PLT-02550):

• 1. Disconnect power to the reader and then re-power.
• 2. Within 30 seconds of re-powering reader, present configuration card SE BIO Initial Setup Reset Card 1 (included in reader box). Hold the card to the reader until the reader stops beeping and the LED is solid red.
• 3. Disconnect power to the reader and then re-power.
• 4. Within 30 seconds of re-powering the reader, present configuration card SE BIO Initial Setup Reset Card 2 (included in reader box). Hold the card to the reader until the reader stops beeping and the LED is solid red.
• 5. Disconnect power to the reader and then re-power.
• 6. Within 30 seconds of re-powering the reader, present configuration card SEC9X-CRD-E-P002 DOWNGRADE TO STANDARD READER ADMIN KEY (included in reader box). Hold the card to the reader until the reader stops beeping and the LED is solid red.
• 7. Complete Initial Setup per Section 2 of the iCLASS SE Biometric Reader User Guide (PLT-02550).
• 8. Disconnect power to reader and then re-power.
• 9. Within 30 seconds of re-powering the reader, present configuration card SEC9X-CRD-E-P000 UPGRADE TO ELITE READER ADMIN KEY (included in reader box). Hold the card to the reader until the reader stops beeping and the LED is solid red. The reader is now ready for Normal use.
