HID Global's secure threads are dyed and assembled using specific, unique processes to enable the combination of fluorescent and non-fluorescent colored plies. These plies can be combined to give customized secure threads for easy passport authentication.

For the best security choice, we strongly recommend threads containing one-ply (up to four-ply) in a visible white (raw) color and in a green or red color under UV light. Anti-stokes and fluorescent features can be combined, enhancing the security level, with a double control (UV and IR).
