This finely-tuned methodology takes a holistic approach to the delivery of solution services and meets the most complex deployment challenges, minimizes costly errors, and ensures that your investment is protected long into the future.

A proven, trusted approach to consulting, implementation and deployment services for HID Global solutions

The Project Assurance methodology provides partners and customers with a proven method of scoping, planning, designing and assuring a successful product deployment. It consists of the following key phases:

Project Management

The HID Professional Services Project Management processes support all project phases across the engagement continuum, enabling the successful deployment of Genuine HID® products and solutions from requirements gathering to technical integration and solution deployment to ongoing operations and technical support.

A dedicated Project Manager is assigned for the contracted duration of the project to ensure that we deliver low-risk engagements that will accelerate your customers' return on investment by focusing on the most relevant tasks. Acting as a single point of contact throughout the project, the Project Manager will attend project update meetings, provide weekly reports and track all risks, issues, actions and decisions from the project team.

Requirements Analysis

The HID Professional Services team can conduct workshops to capture and analyze the technical and business requirements of your initiative. Using the input from these workshops, a requirements analysis document outlining the customer's identified requirements and priorities is created and shared with required stakeholders for review and approval.

Gap Analysis

The HID Professional Services team analyzes the technical requirements and priorities of your project, and then identifies and mitigates potential gaps to ensure your project is delivered according to the stated requirements. Identified gaps may range from functional (e.g. missing product functionality) to non-functional (e.g. a need for user training).

A gap analysis document is then created, outlining each identified gap as well as a proposed mitigation plan to address each gap. The customer is then provided a clear view of the potential time, effort and cost to mitigate each gap.

Reduce project risk

HID Professional Services Project Assurance provides tools, services and a solution design that meets your functional, security and audit requirements. To verify this, an accreditation process is carried out by HID Professional Services at the end of each project.

A proven, trusted approach to consulting, implementation and deployment

Solution Design

The Solution Design phase provides consulting services to help define a sustainable solution that delivers on key success metrics and meets expectations at all levels. The HID Professional Services team will use the data collected during the requirements and gap analysis phases to design the overall solution. The solution design becomes the foundation and baseline for what needs to be achieved throughout the remainder of the project, including architecture and sizing, processes and workflows, system component design, and instructions on how to build and configure the solution.

Solution Build

The HID Professional Services team will build the solution as per the solution design and test it against agreed-upon requirements. Additionally, resources are trained, and documents and procedures are put in place for the ongoing operation of the solution, which starts once the project is completed.

Solution Accreditation

The solution accreditation process is applied at the end of the project to verify that all stated requirements have been met, and the solution has been implemented according to the solution design document. The accreditation process also ensures that the project conforms to HID Global's best practices and can be assured and supported by HID Global – regardless of who implemented the solution.

Once the required accredited level has been successfully reached, the project is handed over to HID Global's Technical Support team for ongoing support and maintenance of the solution.
