The second component is referred to as the Organization Validation (OV) certificate and

is based on the organization information that is included in the TLS/SSL certificate. When accessing your website, the certificate that contains the OV information could be used to positively identify your company and your website to internet visitors, ensuring that he or she is legitimately connected to your business.

When selecting a TLS/SSL certificate, a critical consideration is whether or not the issuer of the certificate is "natively trusted" in browsers. This simply means that the Certification Authority that issued the certificate is automatically recognized by the browser. IdenTrust, as a Certification Authority, is accredited with all major browser providers, allowing IdenTrust certificates to be natively trusted. When the source of a TLS/SSL certificate is not natively trusted, the end-user may be presented with confusing warnings and required to accept the unknown certificate.
