Created by the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED Green Building Rating System™ is the internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.

As of October 31, 2016, all LEED projects must register under LEED v4; the latest, more rigorous version of LEED. In this next generation of green building, LEED v4 continues to promote transparency, innovation, and reductions in environmental impact. With some crucial LEED v4 credits being more difficult to achieve, it is necessary to understand how HID products can contribute to earning points in both LEED v2009 and LEED v4.
