Falcon® Y lock discontinuation
The Grade 2 tubular Falcon Y lock has been discontinued and is no longer available in the Falcon lock portfolio. Moving forward, customers desiring a narrow stile Grade 2 lock with comparable features, options and price point can order the Falcon W Series small rose.
Falcon W Series small rose
Falcon offers a small rose option for the Falcon W cylindrical lock. The W Series small rose has the same diameter as the Falcon Y lock, approximately 2-9/16"; the same door prep, and same applications with more functions.
Features and benefits
- ! Meets ANSI/BHMA A156.2, Series 4000, Grade 2 test requirements for key-in-lever locksets
- ! UL listed 3 hour A Label
- ! Individual heavy-duty springs for lever return and to prevent lever sag. Trim is through-bolted
- ! All lever designs are solid (no inserts) and meet the federal ADA and state disability requirements
- ! Adjusts to fit door thickness from 1-3/8" to 1-3/4"
- ! Non-handed and does not require field disassembly for re-handing
Door prep
Convenient for aftermarket replacement, the Falcon W Series small rose door prep is the same as the Falcon Y lock.

Applications
Because the Falcon W Series small rose is Grade 2, it can be used anywhere the standard Y lock would be used. This means the Falcon W small rose can be used on doors with narrow stiles because of the smaller diameter rose. This unique feature provides you and your customers with an option never before offered by a Falcon cylindrical lock.
How to order
Please reference the Falcon W Series section of your most current Falcon price book. In order to differentiate the Falcon W Series small rose offering from the standard W Series, a slight change has been made to the trim designation. As you can see below, the first two letters designate the small rose (SR) option while third letter designates the lever.
