For proper function of the lock, the tailpiece must be installed correctly. All S and X locks with standard cylinders must have the tailpiece installed HORIZONTALLY on the cylinder as shown.
NOTE: The cap must be properly adjusted.
If too loose, excessive plug end play will prevent the key from being withdrawn.
If too tight, the plug will drag, making it difficult to rotate the key.
