Subject: 5531B Input Wiring Considerations

The new Adaptatone "B" product line incorporates many new functions (battery backup, 19 tones, multi-voltage power supply). As with the earlier versions, the dry contact inputs may be wired in parallel and switched from a single switch.

However, when doing so, you may not mix the input wiring of the new "B" versions with the older "A" versions.

The voltage polarity (between common and the input terminals) is opposite between the older versions and the new "B" style product.
