Heavy knobs machined from brass or bronze bar stock offer long-lasting performance and a heavy-duty deadlocking latch with 9/16" throw provides greater strike engagement.
• • High-security features. Designed for greater security, the BEST 8K series includes features like no keeper holes on keyed knobs, breakaway options to prevent wrench attacks, and spinfree knobs requiring keys for operation. The BEST 8K keyed knob is removable only after the core is removed, resulting in higher security.
• • Proven reliability. Built-in features like a friction insert inside the rose to resist loosening and long bearing length in the chassis for smooth, wear-resistant operation keep the 8K working smoothly year after year.
• • Easy to use. The BEST 8K series allows quick, economical rekeying and is simple to operate even in demanding applications. A rotating knob face provides easy hand of door change without removing the knob, a built-in steel retractor with low friction bearings allows smooth, wear-resistant operation. An optional tactile/knurled knob can be used for blind, safety, or accessibility applications.
