Subject: Alternative method to "Default" any Alarm Lock Lockset

Models: All Models with Numeric Keypads

When unable to "default" a lock (restore its original factory settings), try the following alternate method that works with any Alarm Lock lockset model with a numeric keypad:

• 1. Disconnect the battery.
• 2. Press at least 3 number keys, one at a time, for 3 seconds each. For example, press and hold the 1 key (for 3 seconds), then press and hold the 2 key (for 3 seconds), then press and hold the 3 key (for 3 seconds).
• 3. Press and hold the AL key; continue holding while you connect the battery, and continue holding for an additional 5 seconds after connecting the battery.

The lock will be reset back to its original "out of the box" factory programming.
