Subject: Setting Up an External Key Cylinder to Control an Exit Alarm Device
Models: Model 11A
1. Using the supplied template, drill the appropriate hole in the door in order to mount a CER-KD rim cylinder.
2. Mount the lock such that the CER-KD tailpiece fits into the horizontal groove located inside the Model 11A lock body.
3. When the lock is enabled (deadbolt extended fully to the right as shown), the internal and external key cylinders will operate the latch and enable/disable the alarm.
4. When the lock is disabled (deadbolt fully retracted to the left as shown), the external key cylinder will not operate the latch because the door is in opened mode.
