Subject: How to identify and locate a specific DL-Windows account file.

Models: DL-Windows, All versions.

DL-Windows allows you to designate a unique name for each account as they are created. These account names are ordered alphabetically (on the left side) within DL-Windows.

Be aware that the file names displayed in Windows Explorer do not match the names typed within DL-Windows; instead, the following naming scheme is applied by DL-Windows as the accounts are created:

ACCT1.ADF ACCT2.ADF ACCT3.ADF etc.

If the DL-Windows names do not match their corresponding file names in Windows Explorer, how can you pinpoint a specific DL-Windows account when transferring the file to another PC?

The solution: Within DL-Windows, simply add a new user (or make any other type of minor change within the account you are trying to identify), then quit DL-Windows and open Windows Explorer. Navigate to the DL-Windows folder (default location C:\DL-Windows ) to view the account files, and locate the newly changed account (for example, the DATE MODIFIED column in Windows Explorer). The account file you are trying to identify will reflect the most recent date.

Note: DL-Windows v3.0.4 and prior use the file extension ".mdb".
