Installation procedure for fastening the long square Spindle to the existing Bushing on the DL3500EX lock models.

COMPLETED INSTALLATION MACHINED BLACK DOT

Locate the Bushing "Reference Mark" Before installing the spindle, always be sure the "reference mark" on the bushing is located towards. The state of the bushing is located towards.

"reference mark" on the bushing is located towards the top of the lock. This "reference mark" may be machined into the metal or may be a simple black dot.

2. Remove Spindle (HW1001) and Roll Pin (HW854) from the plastic hardware bag.

Insert the Roll Pin partially into the hole of the Bushing. Note location of reference mark.

3a. Do not allow the Roll Pin to enter the rectangular cutout in the center of the Bushing.

Insert the end of the Spindle that has the cross-drilled hole into the rectangular slot of the Bushing. Note location of reference mark is located towards the top of the lock.

Align the Spindle hole with the hole in the Bushing and carefully tap the Roll Pin into the Bushing with a hammer until it is flush with the outside diameter of the Bushing.
