EVALUATION OF

Hager Companies 5400 Series Door Closer

TEST PARAMETERS:

This report covers tests and/or evaluations performed using the following standard(s) as a guideline: ANSI/BHMA A156.4-2000 American National Standard for Door Controls – Closers. Evaluation was conducted by Intertek Testing Services NA, Inc., at their Middleton, WI facility on July 30, 2004.

ENGINEERING REVIEW PROCESS:

Conduct engineering review evaluation of Model 5400 for Grade 2 without backcheck by reviewing supplied drawings and samples of Model 5400 Closer, 5300 Grade 1 Aluminum Closer, and 5100 Grade 1 Cast Iron Closer.

CONCLUSION:

Grade 2 performance of Model 5400 Closer is granted. Based on minor differences, performance is expected to meet BHMA A156.4 requirements.
