436-1 TOP LOADING TOOL KIT

The 436-1 kit is used to install new slides in top loaded cylinders. This kit can be used on (10-) 6300 cores manufactured after March 2006. (See below) and bored/mortise/rim cylinders made after May 2008 that include "oo" mark the back of the cylinder(see details below)

For 6300s removable core cylinders determine your bottom and master pins by using instruction sheet A6409 attached.

Use SARGENT pin kits 437C or 437S in conjunction with 437 RC/UL kit and top load each chamber accordingly.

Note: When pinning 6300 cores chambers 3 and 4 require the use of hollow driver pins and springs found in kit 437RC/UL.

Locate slide over all springs and depress down with slight pressure using tool.

Gently tap tool to secure slide in to dovetail slot as shown above.

When re-pinning existing keyed cylinders, remove old slide with a sharpened flat tool and discard.

Only 6300 cylinders without the box around SARGENT and Bored/Mortise/Rim cylinders with the 2 conical shape marking can be used with this kit.

To reorder slides for the 6300 cores, 6 pin 40 series mortise, Bored and Rim use p/n 13-1341.

For 7 pin mortise and rim cylinder use p/n 13-1797 (ordered separately).
