The Mullion Converging Kit allows two pocket door frames to make one large doorway
3 Combine the Two Headers
- Butt the sawed ends together
- Drill two 1/4" (4.76 mm) holes through the doorway side header using the mullion bracket's outer holes as a template. Make sure the mullion brackets are centered.
- Insert the two bolts included in this kit through the outer holes of the mullion brackets and the holes created earlier
- Insert the nuts included in this kit to the bolts and tighten. See Figure 2.
4 Hang the Combined Headers

- • Drill a 1/4" (6.35 mm) hole through the center of the mullion bracket where the doorway side headers meet.
- Hang the combined assembly.
- Insert the lag screw through the holes created earlier.
- Fasten the lag screw to the rough header.
- Adjust to level the header assembly. See Figure 3.
5 Finish
• Insert the center stop bumpers into the doorway end of the tracks. Leave them loose until the doors are hung.
